Vault49 is a boutique design, illustration and photography studio hailing from London and now based out of New York. Founded in 2002 by Jonathan Kenyon and John Glasgow, the Vault studio produces award-winning work for a variety of eminent commercial and private clients worldwide.
Vault49 are storytellers in the classic fashion and their beautiful work is threaded with diverse narratives, innuendo, and a macabre sense of humour. Their work communicates on many profound and intricately detailed layers which continue to reward the viewer with new discoveries and a prolonged appreciation of the craft and detail featured in every Vault creation. Their unique perspective on beauty, colour, and seduction ensure’s Vault49’s work is instantly recognizable and distinctive from their peers.
Their work features in many solo and collaborative international exhibitions and Vault49’s 2006 exhibition entitled The Greatest Show On Earth was widely acclaimed in the international design press and also reviewed on-air by BBC radio. In 2008 Vault49 were considered one of the 10 most influential artists of the last decade by WGSN, and a trend in their own right.
Vault49’s multi-award-winning studio continues to achieve sustained coverage in the best of the UK, US, and worldwide design press and their international client list reads like a who’s who of the advertising world, including Samsung, Nike, Honda, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Orange, MTV, Virgin Atlantic, the New York Times, and Greenpeace. Their New York collaboration with the Artful Dodger clothing brand has also seen their designs sported by such celebrities as Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Usher, Lupe Fiasco, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ashton Kutcher.
