• Ford in Wonderland

We recently finished this Alice in Wonderland themed advertorial for the new Ford Fiesta, appearing in the Sunday Times Style magazine. Vault49 created a drive-through mixed-media fantasy world full of detail, narrative, and pixie dust. The design is heavy on the pencil-work, retouching, and a spot of CGI too.  This was a top-drawer collaboration with photography by Joe Windsor-Williams and great art direction from Laurence at Ogilvy.

Our website has been updated with this project with some nice close-ups of the details.

  • Club Card

Earlier in the month we created this great graphic brand identity and illustration for ClubCard, the first universal and instant Retail Rewards club.  This is the beginning of a long-term relationship with a great client – look out for more in the series including a planned Vault49 animation .

  • Sunday Times – Style Magazine illustration

It’s always a pleasure to work for the Sunday Times, and their Style Magazine provides some of the most fun editorial briefs around.  Here’s a couple of illustrations we just created for their upcoming issues on the subject of horoscopes… particularly Aries and Virgo.  It’s all a load of hocus-pocus if you ask me… but maybe I was destined to be a naysayer.

  • Blackberry – FINALLY we can show it!

Wow, we’re beyond happy to show this Blackberry work, it’s just ridiculous.  Waaaaay back in February we were briefed by Inferno to create this campaign for Blackberry Europe, and since then the project has gone through all sorts of creative wrangling until today when it can see the light of day.  These are strange times!

Concept development for the individual images, illustration, design, and animation all in-house. Vault49 were approached to design and produce all aspects of this wide-ranging brief to provide a cohesive campaign uniting a broad range of skills. Full credit to Inferno, their creative team knows how to encourage the best work and add a lot to a brief.

Here’s a snippet – check out the rest of the campaign on our website.

  • Just Because…

We’re currently working on a series of graphics based on NYC – by illustrating the attitude and lifestyle of your average New Yorker. Here’s a sneak peak of one of the typographic illustrations, “Just because I’m Crazy, doesn’t mean I’m Wrong.” Wouldn’t you agree??

  • Vault49 animation and website design

So we’ve done quite a few animations over the last few years including work for the BBC, ITV, Pepsi, MTV, Cingular, and Vodafone – god knows why we’re only just getting around to putting it on our website now but we’ve just listed an Online and Motion section to our Vault49 site.  We’ll be adding more work to them in a week or so!

  • A Little Learning…

    A little learning is a dangerous thing…

    A new self-initiated piece.
