The future features an element of the past… I think it’s time!

We were going through our archives planning for this talk in Mexico on Monday… these from 2002-3…

Maze: Ripe and ready to screen print!

    Maze Final

We’re preparing a slick screen print package for our ‘new business’ meetings, and this is one of the three screen prints that’ll be contained within.  From NYC to YOU!  Yeah baby… should we make some of these $35 quality versions of this piece too like the Gumball?

  • Kia Royale

OK,  so I know it’s more English and dignified to be reserved, humble, and muted when it comes to singing our own praises, but f*ck that I’ve been in New York too long and this design is just bloody beautiful – I’m just happy to be in an environment where we’re producing this kind of sex!!

So, what you see here is the digital/hand-drawn composite version of Kia Royale, the latest incarnation of our evolutionary process and our the most recent in our series of creations which seeks to bring the craft back into the design game, and the love into our own lives.

It’s far from finished though.… right now we’re separating this design for screen print and Kia Royale will be printed on a thick wood block, with lots of tactile detail.  On top of all of that, the necklace/ruff is going to be made out of origami, and we’re busy cutting out and folding 250 individual pieces of paper to build this out.  No shit.

    Any more ideas?

  • Coming to a street corner near you…

Well, as long as you live in NYC you’ll be seeing a lot of these.

  • Early Bird

This was a bit of fun that turned into something quite lovely.  We’re going to see if we can take the design apart and make it into a screen print this weekend – if it’s any good you’ll see it in the shop soon enough!
