Brief
Biomega is a new salon brand and a different kind of beauty company, with an inspiring vision for a mid price-point range of beauty products.
The brand is positioned to elevate the salon industry and its products are only to be sold to independent salons, and not national chains or retail stores.
The concept and vision to take this brand to market was clear, yet Biomega needed an iconic, cohesive identity that would allow for product expansion within a clear graphic framework.
Solution
Biomega approached Vault49 with a clear message, but without an exact idea of what they wanted as a visual identity.
Our first task was to conduct an in-depth marketplace analysis of existing retail and salon product offerings to understand where the brand would belong, and how it is different. Working with Biomega's brand team, we identified a niche in the market for a bright, illustrative, sophisticated visual identity.
Vault49 established core brand messages and explored the full scope of potential brand expansion before devising concepts for the initial product offering. Our visual approach was wholly inspired by product ingredients and the real technological benefits that Biomega has over it's competitors.
The result is that Vault49's visual system successfully and uniquely communicated a variety of styles, yet remained coherent to the overall brand. The product range has captured market attention and the brand continues to captivate customers, with demand for Biomega products still outstripping supply almost a year after the initial launch.
We continue to work closely with Biomega to launch a broad and expanding range of products, from traditional salon offerings to advanced technical gels and formulas.
