Baileys was a beloved icon, but the business was losing momentum. After five years of decline, the brand was starting to feel dated, overly tied to old-world luxury cues, and too dependent on one seasonal occasion. To return to growth, Baileys needed to move beyond its liqueur aisle conventions and unlock a more modern, year-round role in people’s lives.
Baileys
Reframing indulgence to reverse 5 years of decline.
Baileys needed a new reason to matter. Indulgence had become more social, visual, giftable, and ritualized. That gave Baileys permission to move beyond seasonal liqueur and claim a bigger cultural role: the ultimate adult treat, made for moments of reward, generosity, and everyday pleasure.
We repositioned Baileys as part cake, part booze: a flexible system of flavor, craft, color, voice, packaging, activation, and innovation.
The work stretched from bottle to bar to limited edition, giving the brand a treat platform with room for formats, flavors, occasions, and future growth.
Baileys became more than a seasonal tradition. It became a year-round platform for treating.
Since the start of brand guardianship, Baileys has grown over 70%, with a brand world built to express its core belief: treat yourself, each other, and the planet properly, at any time of year.
