Reese’s Puffs had decades of breakfast memory, but cereal culture had moved beyond the bowl. For its audience, cereal was flavor, fandom, nostalgia, and comfort food all at once. The challenge was to give a product launch permission to stretch beyond morning without feeling like just another flavor extension
Reese's Puffs
From morning ritual to midnight craving.
Midnight is technically morning. That playful logic gave Reese’s Puffs permission to move beyond the breakfast table and into late-night craving culture, tapping into kidulting, comfort, and those slightly ‘delulu’ moments when indulgence feels completely justified.
We turned late-night craving into a visual and verbal world: electric orange, dark chocolate depth, surreal city signals, packaging details, and a set of objects people could want, wear, hold, and post. The familiar cup, bowl, spoon, and cereal pieces became a midnight language, with hidden details and glowing cues that make the pack feel awake when everything else is closed.
Reese’s Puffs Dark Chocolate turned a flavor launch into a late-night universe, giving a breakfast icon new permission, a stranger edge, and a richer role in after-hours craving culture.
